SF6's Year 4 is here, and ranked has turned into a Yasmine seminar

With the Esports World Cup barely finished, Street Fighter 6 rolled into Year 4 and the ladder did what it always does, only faster: within days, Yasmine shows up in nearly every high-level replay landing in the archive.

Kazunoko, Punk, Kakeru, Yas, Pugera, Yuza… these are not anonymous accounts trying the new toy in Casual. They are players putting their rank on the line with her from day one.

What makes this different from the C.Viper wave

Back in July we covered the C.Viper wave, but that was a different animal: a character who had been settling in for weeks, and an elite that showed up late and all at once. With Yasmine the pattern is inverted — the elite goes first, and it goes in blind.

That makes these replays worth more than they look. A Kazunoko against Yas in a Yasmine mirror, both of them improvising the same unknown, teaches you more about the character than any first-week guide. And the matchups against known quantities — Luke, Juri, Kimberly, JP — are the real thermometer: not how she looks, but what she loses to.

Our read: there is no verdict until Yasmine sets foot in an offline bracket. Until then, August's ladder is study material, not a tier list. The new sets can be filtered by game and character in the finder.
