C.Viper ate SF6's ranked: the DLC that changed the ladder's weather
Spend a little while watching elite ranked replays and the pattern jumps out: C.Viper is everywhere. Latif, Kazunoko, Big Bird, Tachikawa… the list of serious names who've embraced the USBGS agent keeps growing, and it's no passing fad.
Why she fits
Viper rewards exactly what Street Fighter 6 makes hard to punish: mobility, mixups that start from the air, and a wildly outsized payoff when you nail the timing. She's a character with a sky-high ceiling and a low floor — the archetype that seduces players who live to set the pace rather than wait for the opponent's mistake.
That's also her danger to the meta. When a demanding-execution character gets popular among the elite, it drags the rest of the ladder along: everyone wants the perfect Seismo, even if most end up handing over turns. Latif's C.Viper and a mid-rank one look alike on paper and nothing alike in practice.
If you're after a summer project, consider yourselves warned: she's the most fun to learn and the one that charges the most for every mistake.
