A tool made with love

FGMatchup is, above all, a search tool: a way to find matches by player and by matchup without getting lost on YouTube. The idea is simple — study those sets, learn from the best, and get better at this world I'm so passionate about.

It began as a personal tool — I built it for myself, to have the archive I always wished existed.

I'm sharing it in case it helps someone in our beloved FGC. If it gives you even one match to study or one clip to enjoy, it was worth it.

Methodology: where the data comes from

Every match in the archive comes from a curated list of YouTube channels: official tournament organizers and community archivists known for labeling their sets accurately. No scraping of random uploads — if a channel is not curated, its videos are not here.

Player names, characters, tournaments and dates are extracted from each video with an automated pipeline and then reviewed before publishing. When a piece of data cannot be verified (a character, a phase), it is left blank rather than guessed.
