EVO 2026: MenaRD conquers Las Vegas and confirms the Dominican bloc

Las Vegas crowned an old acquaintance once again. MenaRD took EVO 2026 and added another Premier title for the Dominican bloc, imposing his Blanka in the Grand Final on a Shigematsu who had just torn through the losers' side.

How it was won

MenaRD reached the final from winners after getting past KilzYou in the Winners Final, and he needed no reset: he closed out the big set and kept Shigematsu from completing one of the comebacks of the year. The Japanese player left with a runner-up finish that tasted like an epic.

What the Top 8 leaves behind

The bracket confirmed what we flagged in the preview: the new generation no longer shows up to learn. TanTanMen, Craime and KilzYou went toe to toe with the established names, and Ingrid surfaced in several hands. But when the spotlight tightened, craft ruled: MenaRD read every round like someone who's been there a thousand times.
