Tokido wins CEO 2026 and makes it clear that in Orlando you still pass on experience

CEO is one of those tournaments where the CPT gets serious in August, and the 2026 edition ended the way many of them do: with Tokido lifting the trophy in Orlando. The grand final was against Booce_Lee, Terry against JP — the same two who had already met earlier in the Top 8 — and Tokido did not switch characters once in the entire Top 8: all three of his sets in the archive were played with the same JP.

Micky wrote the bracket

If you look at the nine Top 8 VODs, four of them carry Micky's name. That is not dominance, it is the classic route of someone who drops early into losers and has to earn it four times in a row: Mai against Tokido, Mai against Blaz, Cammy against Kilzyou, Mai against Kingsvega. He switched characters depending on the opponent and held on until the tank ran dry.

What it says about where the CPT stands

Barely a month ago Craime was winning the EWC at 15 and the generational handover looked like it would be immediate. At CEO, Craime stopped at the Top 8 and the trophy went to the player with the most miles in the room.

Our read: the new generation already wins tournaments, but it does not yet win every tournament. And that difference, across a long CPT season, is exactly what decides who makes it to Capcom Cup.
